The Un-Silenced Voice Project
The Un-Silenced Voice Project (TUSV) seeks to create space for those affected by trauma, particularly women, to release and affirm their voices through music, art, honest conversation and storytelling.
The project began in 2019, with the development of an original album that features songs about my own journey with trauma, healing, and free expression. My hope for the recording was to offer a creative spark that could guide other women to engage in conversation, musical exploration and healing. With the release of the album, and onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I began curating online programs and platforms to give voice to other women’s journeys and creative responses.
As the project continues to grow, I am seeking partners to build multiple pathways for engagement, including:
Intergenerational women’s groups to share and sustain cultural practices and stories
Group voice lessons
Individual coaching for those seeking to cultivate their singing and public speaking voices
A women’s chorus
Ongoing recording and documentation of participants’ songs and stories
If you are interested in participating, or joining the project as a partner, please reach out via the contact page. I look forward to co-creating this project with you.
