The Un-Silenced Voice Project
“The UnSilenced Voice Project” (TUSV) is a Vocal Coaching and Advocacy approach for personal and communal wholeness that centers singing and music-making, Bible Study, personal and communal testimony, and the preservation of cultural traditions as pathways to uncovering and/or empowering feminine and silenced voices (actual, artistic and communal) retracted by trauma.
In 2020 TUSV was launched with the development of an original album that features songs about my own journey from trauma through healing and into liberation combined with the first of its kind live, virtual conversation and performance amongst women the day the quarantine began in Boston, MA.
My hope for the recording was to offer a creative spark that could guide other women to engage in conversation, musical exploration and healing. With the release of the album, and onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, I began curating online programs and platforms to give voice to other women’s journeys and creative responses.
As the project continues to grow, I am seeking partners to build multiple pathways for engagement, including:
Vocal Coaching (individual and group vocal for those seeking to explore cultivate their singing and public speaking voices
Choir Coaching and Development (all levels)
Songwriting Sessions (individual and group)
Bible study (topic and theme related)
Facilitations (virtual and in-person clinics, classes, workshops, professional developments, seminars, conferences)
Preaching and Public Speaking Engagements (ecclesial and academic)
Intergenerational Women’s Groups (curating and holding healing spaces for women)
Documentation (of participants’ songs and stories, for specific and ongoing archiving)
